For the very first time, ERTL is offering a 1/16 scale modern die-cast combine! But wait we are enhancing collectability! After we finish production, the combine tooling will be destroyed! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!
TOMY International, a leading global designer, producer and marketer of toys, announces a one-time opportunity to own a massive, intricately detailed John Deere 1:16 Scale S780 Combine developed as part of the ERTL Collectibles farm toys brand. To enhance collectability, the tooling for this replica was permanently destroyed after initial production.
For more than a century, America’s fascination with big machines has made John Deere a household (or farm-hold) name. The mighty life-size combine—weighing in at 45,745 pounds—is known as the workhorse of the Midwest.
“We truly value our John Deere collectors and our relationship with them and wanted to give these fans a special opportunity to own this rare replica that’s also a true piece of art,” explained Bill Walters, Senior Vice President at TOMY International. “We want to be clear about something: once we finish production, that is it. The tooling will be destroyed and those lucky collectors who jumped on the opportunity will be the only ones in the world to own these limited-edition replicas.”
Measuring approximately 30 inches long by 14 inches wide by 12.4 inches tall and weighing more than 62 pounds, the John Deere 1:16 Scale S780 Combine features all die-cast body panels, die-cast rims and soft tires. It also has a moveable die-cast feeder housing, die-cast grain bin and a pivoting die-cast unloading auger. It has an opening cab door and includes a 712C corn head and 730FD draper head.
