From 1961 to 1968, International Harvester manufactured the Farmall 504 row crop tractor in the USA. The Farmall 504 tractor was equipped with an International Harvester 3.1L 4-cyl diesel, 2.5L 4-cyl gasoline or a 2.5K 4-cyl LP gas engine. The 504 tractor had a longer wheelbase and weighed several hundred pounds more than its predecessor the Farmall 340. By 1961, IH abandoned their own two-point hitch system for a new three-point. It was standardized and adopted by all manufacturers with their introduction of the 504 tractor.
Produced from 1969 to 1971, IH 1150 grinder-mixers featured high capacity up to 18,000 pounds of corn per hour. A 12’ double-jointed discharge auger, heavy duty shafts and an efficient dust collecting system were all standard features. IH offered an electric scale add-on, allowing each ingredient to be weighed as it enters the grinder-mixer. With a separate hopper for concentrates protected premixes. The IH 1150 grinder-mixer enabled farmers to unload the ration for 50 steers in a minute. The 4-speed auger could be easily moved to 12” off the ground, making loading from a wagon simple.
