About Meyer Manufacturing Corporation

In 1951, Alvin Meyer patented the False-Gate Box which was later redesigned into what is believed to be the first Self-Unloading Forage Box ever built, the model M100. Meyer product offerings grew to include the industry's most complete line of forage boxes along with class-leading manure spreader and vertical TMR mixer lines. From its humble beginnings, Meyer has expanded its facilities while implementing the latest technologies into superior product designs.

About Wisconsin Farm Technology Days

The concept for the outdoor farm show was first envisioned by Henry Ahlgren in 1952 when he was chair of Farm and Home Week, an event for farmers to learn about the research findings by university researchers. This event had long been held at the University of Wisconsin Campus in Madison. An early goal for the show was to have it located on an active farm and move it around the state.
